A Letter from Kelly & Kari
Thank you for taking the opportunity to look over our profile and learn more about us. We pray that it will give you a glimpse into our lives. We are already adoptive parents and are very excited about the opportunity to add another member to our family!
We first met in 1998 at Kelly’s college fraternity party through a mutual friend. At that time, we were going to different colleges miles apart. The Lord led us to cross paths at a football game a couple of months later where our relationship started, and in March of 2001 we married. We always knew that we wanted to be parents. When we were ready for children in our second year of marriage, we never dreamed that infertility would be a factor. God led us to adoption.
We were selected by Kaleigh’s birth mother on the day she was born. We brought our precious baby girl home three days later, and she has been the joy of our lives ever since. We felt God’s timing was perfect as He had been preparing us spiritually, emotionally, and financially to be parents.
Our journey together has made us stronger individually and has drawn us closer as a couple. We’ve always enjoyed traveling places and experiencing new things and have been fortunate enough to continue doing these things since adopting Kaleigh.
Kari is a kind-hearted, loving wife, friend, and mother. She has a great sense of humor, laughs a lot, and loves life. Kari enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She goes out of her way to make sure our family get-togethers are special. Kari is very organized and loves planning our vacations. She used to be a pharmacy technician; however, she now is a full-time, stay-at-home mom for our daughter.
Kari has always had the desire to be a parent, and has been such an awesome mother to Kaleigh. I enjoy watching her interact and develop a mother-daughter bond with our daughter.
Kelly is a humble and caring husband and father. He is very compassionate and loving toward others. He loves his job working as a computer analyst for 19 years. Kelly enjoys a lot of activities like playing computer games, fishing and reading to our daughter. He is so excited about being a father again! As his wife, he’s made me feel very loved and appreciated every day. Kelly is a blessing to many friends and family, but most of all mine and Kaleigh’s.
A year and a half into our adoption journey, we were selected by Kaleigh’s birth mother on the day she was born. We brought our precious baby girl home three days later and she has been the joy of our lives ever since. Despite the quick turn-around, we felt God’s timing was perfect as He had been preparing spiritually, emotionally and financially to be parents.
We live in a three-bedroom home in a rural suburb in Arkansas. In our fenced backyard, there is a playset and a gated swimming pool. There are also parks within walking distance from our home. Our church is about two minutes away which has a great children’s ministry. We also have a Morkie dog named Ollie that is great with children!
We were both raised in Christian homes and have families who are very supportive. Everyone in our family loves Kaleigh so much and they are excited about us adopting again. It’s been great to have Kari’s mom living only a few minutes away. Kelly’s parents live three hours away in Mississippi. Our siblings are spread out geographically, but we make every effort to visit on holidays and meet up for vacations. Kelly’s parents try to have a family vacation for the whole family every summer at the beach. Kari’s family has bi-annual reunions for her immediate family. Our church family and friends are also excited about our adoption journey. God has blessed us with loving families and close friends.
We promise to give your child a loving, supportive and Godly home. We will ensure that your child receives a great education and the opportunity to achieve his or her dreams and goals. We promise that your child will know about you and their adoption story. We’re open with whatever level of contact you are comfortable with before and after the adoption.
